This will prove a beautiful night
Though I'm somewhat concerned of the morning light
What it brings with it when it brings to light
Outdated maps of my body
Of course the rain came down
What could I expect my last night in town
With the people I most needed now
I was grateful that they were on tour
Followed the tracks back home
Mounted my bicycle after the show
To the train bridge where I used to go
To think, to pee outside, and to talk to myself
I threw my bike in the shed
I ran through the shower without leaving my head
Though I wanted out, changed my clothes instead
Threw on something I could feel good in for a while
We listened and we each to a grip
I fit my whole body between her fingers and her hip
There were four of us in my bed we fit
But two of us made it through morning
4:45 came about
The doorbell rang but not too loud
When my folks arrived I just slipped out
Waking only those who I thought might like to meet might parents
Hearing this was like discovering Desire, or London Calling for the first time. Derivative yet original, the songs are immediate and the melodies will get stuck in your ear for days. tideracer
