Fall moves in
Trees lose leaves as I sleep in
The foliage tirelessly dries all around my skin
Glued in place
Old news becomes paper mache
And I feel like an aging recycling plant
Love is hard, love is as hard as they say it is
Love is hard, love is as hard as they say it is
Love is hard, love is as hard as they say it is
Love is hard, love is as hard as they say it is
Seems to me we are the only speices
Thinking about the greatness of our achievements
Pyramids, things we can’t explain so quick
We attribute this to alien intelligence
Love is hard, love is as hard as they say it is
Love is hard, love is as hard as they say it is
Love is hard, love is as hard as they say it is
Love is hard, love is as hard as they say it is

Hearing this was like discovering Desire, or London Calling for the first time. Derivative yet original, the songs are immediate and the melodies will get stuck in your ear for days. tideracer

Seven Daniel Romano originals and three traditionals add up to the most nakedly beautiful album our man released in that fruitful year 2020. Side A is, at present, my favorite vinyl side in Daniel's discography. The vibe, the chord progressions, the guitar work... would I love the album more if every song were a Kelly/Daniel duet ala Streets of Derry? Absolutely. But with an album that's already this gorgeous, to nitpick is to blaspheme. Grain Sparrow
